Veld Agency is a web design studio based in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. Our website is veld.digital.
When you contact us, browse our site, or become a client, certain information about you may be collected. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have.
What We Collect
We collect only what we need:
- Contact information — Your name, phone number, business name, and project details when you message us via WhatsApp or any contact form.
- Payment information — Processed entirely by PayGate (PCI DSS compliant). We never see or store your card details.
- Usage data — Pages visited, time on site, referring URL — collected anonymously via analytics tools if enabled. No personally identifiable data in this stream.
- Cookies — Functional cookies to remember your cookie preference. Analytics cookies only if you consent.
How We Use Your Data
- To respond to your enquiry and deliver your project
- To process payment via PayGate upon project approval
- To improve our site and services (anonymised analytics only)
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party — ever.
Third-Party Services
Our site uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Google Fonts — Loads typefaces from Google's CDN. Google may log your IP address.
- three.js CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) — Loads the 3D graphics library. Cloudflare may log your IP.
- PayGate — South African payment gateway. Handles card processing. Your payment data goes directly to PayGate.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — If you contact us via the WhatsApp button, Meta's privacy policy applies to that conversation.
Your Rights (POPIA & GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Withdraw consent for processing at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa

Data Retention
We retain client project files and communication records for 3 years after project completion (for accounting and legal compliance). General enquiries that do not convert to projects are deleted within 12 months.
Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies via the consent banner when you first visit the site. Declining analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the site.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
